Preschool Story Time is back on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. This is for the 3-5 year old crowd with their parent/caregiver. This group hears a story or two, plays a game, sings a song, and/or does something creative. Sometimes the program works and other times it’s a learning curve.

Homeschool Heroes has returned to the first and third Fridays of the month at 10 a.m. This is a time for homeschool families to meet, network and do a project/activity together.

Youth Advisory Council began on Tuesday, Oct. 1. You must apply to participate in this group that gets to know each other, learn about the library and come up with ideas for/about the library. Applications are available at the front desk and this group is for 7th graders and older. Homeschool and public school children are all welcome to apply.

East Texas Library Friends will meet Saturday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. in the Mineola Memorial Library to discuss Ariel Lawhon’s “The Frozen River.” At this gathering they will also select books to read. Whether you’ve read the book or not, please, join us.

Toddler Story Time continues on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. for the 18 month to 3 year old group along with their parents/caregivers. This group meets to learn to play together, make new friends and hear a story.
