September is ending, October is upon us and there are plenty of fun things happening at the Mineola Memorial Library.
Our regular activities continue with Toddler Story Time Tuesdays at 10 a.m., Afterschool STREAM Tuesdays at 4 p.m. and Preschool Story Time Wednesdays at 10 a.m.
Homeschool Heroes meets the first and third Fridays of the month at 10 a.m., Oct. 2 and 16. Read to a Dog will be held Saturday, Oct. 3 at 9 a.m., and Mahjong meets the second and fourth Saturdays, Oct. 10 and 24, from noon to 2 p.m.
We’ll also be downtown Oct. 31 to take part in trick-or-treat activities.
Have questions or need more details? Call us at 903-569-2767, visit our website at mineolalibrary.com or find us on Facebook. Look for the cat, bluebonnets and Texas!
Need ideas for something to read? We have displays throughout the library highlighting a topic of the month, a genre, book club selections or just some good reading ideas. Stop by at 301 N. Pacific St., stroll through the library and find your next book.
Did you know we have a large collection of large-print books? Most are in the adult collection, but we also have a few in the children’s area. Large-print books are handy when you don’t want to read smaller print or reach for your readers. Sometimes, they simply feel faster to read.
We also still have audiobooks on CD for your listening needs. Both our large-print and audiobook collections include a variety of genres, from mysteries and historical fiction to romance and general fiction. There might be something there you haven’t tried before.
The Mineola Memorial Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible. We are currently accepting monetary donations only.
