Barbecue, murder and Texas Hold-Em all add up to an exciting night with the Pilot Club of Mineola’s murder mystery dinner fundraiser.

This year’s murder mystery, “High Stakes Porker,” will be held April 25 at the East Texas Barbecue Café (the Mineola Civic Center). Roy Shockey has written the play and will also direct and act in the murder mystery.

Pilot members will be selling tickets for a chance to win bucket items valued at $50 and more. Those tickets are $5 for one or $20 for six. This year’s live auction will include a week’s stay at the “Morning Star” cabin, located in south central Colorado, close to Pueblo. The Mineola Anchor Club will have their “Pretty Purses” for sale for $20, and one lucky person will win a Dooney & Bourke purse.

Local celebrity waiters will wait tables for tips, which will be donated to the Pilot Club. Chef Tyler with Fusion in the Woods Catering will be preparing dinner.

Tickets for this year’s murder mystery dinner are $35, and reservations may be made by calling Shelly at 903-530-8729.
