Music nights downtown at the Mineola gazebo in May

Music in May continues Thursday evening in downtown Mineola.

Clint Alford will be performing on May 12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the downtown gazebo.

S. Johnson St. will be closed off for the event, and nearby restaurants will be offering specials for attendees.

There is no charge to listen to the music.

Future musical guests will be announced weekly.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
