Postal holidays could impact newspaper delivery

Posted

The Monitor’s postal delivery schedules for subscribers may be disrupted twice in the coming weeks due to mid-week postal holidays.

The Juneteenth national holiday next week falls on Wednesday, which is the day that newspapers are normally delivered to post offices – which will be closed.

As a result the June 20 edition of the paper may not be delivered until Friday, June 21.

Papers will be delivered to news vendors on Wednesday as usual.

The Fourth of July falls on Thursday, which is the day that readers in Wood County normally receive their papers in the mail.

Again they should not be expected until Friday’s mail, and the locations that carry the paper will have them available by Wednesday afternoon.

Thank you for your understanding.
