Quitman Lady Bulldogs discover competition stout at tournament
The Quitman Lady Bulldogs ran into some tough competition at the White Oak Tournament over the weekend.
They lost four matches and won two. The Lady Bulldogs beat Union Grove 25-2, 25-7 and took down Chapel Hill 25-22, 24-13.
They fell to one of the state’s top teams, Beckville, 14-25, 22-25. They then lost to Spring Hill 18-25, 25-18, 25-16; Pleasant Grove 15-25, 22-25; and Gilmer 12-25, 18-25.
The Lady Bulldogs will be at home against Van Friday with the varsity beginning at 4:30 p.m. District play begins Sept. 24 at Mineola.
