Quitman man charged with intoxication manslaughter
A Quitman man has been arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter following the death of a Mineola man in a traffic crash Sunday afternoon.
Maxwell Hunter Lee, 25, was released on $100,000 bail Sunday from the Wood County jail.

Quitman man charged with intoxication manslaughter
A Quitman man has been arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter following the death of a Mineola man in a traffic crash Sunday afternoon.
Maxwell Hunter Lee, 25, was released on $100,000 bail Sunday from the Wood County jail.
Moises B. Joribio, 41, died at the scene three miles north of Mineola on US Hwy. 69.
According to the preliminary investigation by Dept. of Public Safety Trooper Tony Garcia, Joribio was traveling northwest on US 69, waiting to turn left onto County Road 2260. Maxwell was also traveling northwest in a 2018 Ford Explorer and collided with the back of Joribio’s 2009 Toyota Camry. It occurred at 3:53 p.m.
Maxwell was determined to be intoxicated at the time of the crash.
Justice of the Peace Jody Hetttich pronounced Joribio’s death at the scene.
A passenger, Jesus T. Beltran, 29, of Mineola was transported to UT Health Hospital in Quitman with non-incapacitating injuries.
All three were wearing seatbelts.
