Richard (Rick) Allen Clarke, Jr.  1961-2025

Richard (Rick) Allen Clarke, Jr. passed away at 64 years old on Dec. 2, 2025 at his home in Mineola, where he lived for 36 years. 

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church, Mineola, with Pastor Michael Mize officiating.

He was born Feb. 14, 1961 in Shreveport, La. to the late Richard Clarke and Caroyln Clarke. He married Kathy Madsen on Nov. 12, 1988. They shared 37 years together and a blended family of four children, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

He was an avid LSU fan, but his pride and great love were his many grandchildren and great-grand children who knew him as Grumps. 

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Clarke; wife, Kathy Clarke; sons, Richard Clarke, Cody Clarke, Bryan McKenzie and wife Jennifer; daughter, Misty Hooks and husband Mark; grandchildren, Kelby Hooks and wife Kristen, Bryce Hooks and wife Taylor, Brett McKenzie and wife Hannah, Caden McKenzie, Colt McKenzie, Cameron Clarke, Karter Clarke, Sawyer Clarke, Skylar Clarke; and great grandchildren, Isabella, Miller, Larkin, Huntleigh, Benjamin, A.J. and Jeralee.
