Rotarians ready Hot Wheels event
Mineola Rotarians gathered Sunday afternoon at Greg Hollen’s house and built a pair of Hot Wheels tracks for this coming Saturday’s 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hot Wheels Run at Mineola’s Mini-Train Depot. Joining in the build were Jim Bailey, John Dollarhide, Greg Hollen, Bill Martin, Ray Shockey and Roy Shockey. Tests conducted immediately following the build confirmed the new tracks’ excellent suitability. Tents will be set up to ensure everyone can find a spot in the shade. Anyone with genuine Hot Wheels cars sitting around at home looking for a place and a purpose, feel free to bring them to race or donate.
