Sarah Allen

GOLDEN - Funeral services for Sarah Elizabeth Harrison Allen, 88 of Golden, were held Saturday, May 19 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Mineola with Rev. Boyd officiating.

Mrs. Allen died May 15, 2018, at her home in Golden. She was born November 24, 1929 in Arlington to the late Ardie and Margie Harrison. She moved to Golden in 2003 from Arlington. She worked for 24 years as an electrical inspector for General Dynamics and was a member of First Baptist Church of Alba. 

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as husband Vernon Allen; sisters, Dorothy Avrett and Frankie Dennehy and her brother, Floyd Harrison. She is survived by her sons, Dana Hobbs, Dahrel Hobbs and Dathan Hobbs all of Golden; sister Betty McKnight of Monohans and seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
