School supplies giveaway Saturday at Quitman church

The First Baptist Church of Quitman is having its annual school supply event Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The supplies are free and for all grades, pre-K through 12.

Donations can be made to the event, and they are in need of priority items including markers, colored pencils, pencils, scissors, glue sticks, spiral notebooks, erasers, composition notebooks and binders. Additional items needed are socks, underwear, backpacks, blue jeans and all personal items.

Monetary donations are always welcome.
