Alba-Golden senior Brett Sutton is making an impact on the field, in the classroom and throughout his school community.
Sutton, No. 3 for the Panthers, plays quarterback and safety. Through the first four games of the 2026 season, he has accounted for more than 1,000 yards of offense.
He has thrown for 578 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 598 yards and five scores.
A multi-sport athlete, Sutton also plays basketball and baseball and competes in track and field for the Panthers.
His accomplishments extend beyond athletics. Sutton maintains a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. He is also involved in the medical program at Alba-Golden High School and participates in Senior Chapter Conducting through FFA.
After high school, Sutton plans to pursue a career in the medical field as a medical sales representative.
Outside of school, Sutton participates in a Bible study group and has spent the past two years coaching Little Dribblers basketball.
Coach Webster said he and the rest of the coaching staff are proud of Sutton and the leadership he brings to the Panther football program.
That leadership comes as Alba-Golden’s football program has also drawn recognition for its conduct on the field. The Panthers recently received a letter from University Interscholastic League Assistant Athletic Director AJ Martinez praising the team for its sportsmanship and for playing the game the right way.
The Panthers are 1-3 through their first four games of the 2026 season.
