The Spring Bioblitz, surveying the Native Prairies Association of Texas (NPAT) East Texas prairies, sponsored by the Northeast Chapter of the NPAT, will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 16-17.
These surveys provide an opportunity to participate in a photography contest in which participants surveying events can enter photos taken on any of the four prairies surveyed this weekend. Photos will be evaluated by a panel of professional and experienced photographers. Participants in the contest will have opportunities to submit photos from the upcoming surveys at the Talbot prairies in June and Moth Night in August.
This is a free event. Register at texasprairie.org.
