A golf tournament to benefit the Wood County Child Welfare and Protection Board’s Rainbow Room will be held Tuesday, May 10 at the Links at Land’s End, hosted by the Wood County District Attorney’s office.

Entry fee is $95 per player and includes a coupon for a future round, lunch, green fee, cart, range balls, gift bag, hole-in-one prizes and a chance to win a shot for a $1 million hole in one.

Submit registration information and check or credit card information to the Wood County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, P.O. Box 689, Quitman, Texas 75783 or email it to c.clayton@mywoodcounty.com. Checks should be payable to the Wood County Child Protection Board.

The Rainbow Room is an emergency resource center available to Child Protective Services caseworkers to help meet critical needs of abused and neglected children. It consists of a store-like setting that allows workers to go “shopping” for children and families on their caseloads. The room is stocked with new items such as clothing, shoes, toys and games, diapers, formula, school supplies, hygiene products and cleaning products.
