Training set for pesticides

The Wood, Van Zandt and Rains County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension offices will host a Tri-County Pesticide-Private Applicator Training Wednesday, May 19 at the Rains County Extension Office Conference Center for those who want a license to buy state limited or restricted use pesticides.

Attendees must purchase a current study guide, $25, and the laws and regulations book, $15, which can be purchased at the county extension office. Those who purchased materials at another extension office require verification (receipt or the books themselves).

Registration costs $10 at the door starting at 8:30 a.m., and the training will begin at 9 a.m. and end at noon. RSVP before May 12, Wood County extension office, 903-763-2924.
