TxDOT project updates for the week of July 20, 2026

The Texas Department of Transportation plans to conduct the following construction and maintenance work across the district this week. Work schedules are subject to change because of weather, equipment failures or other unforeseen circumstances. Motorists are urged to slow down and use caution in work zones.
WOOD COUNTY
This week, crews are scheduled to perform edge repairs at various locations throughout the county. Motorists should expect lane closures.
Crews also will continue ditch maintenance on FM 14 between FM 2088 and SH 154. Motorists should expect lane closures and flaggers directing traffic.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT UPDATES
US 69/FM 2493
Overpass
This week: Crews will continue work on the new bridge elements and prepare the bridge deck. Traffic remains shifted onto temporary pavement south of the existing US 69.
About the project: The project includes grading, base and asphalt work, drainage improvements, construction of a new overpass, curb and gutter installation, and new signs and pavement striping.
NOTES
Limits: From 0.96 miles north of FM 779 to 1.03 miles south of FM 779
Contractor: Lamar Companies LLC
Cost: $37.9 million
Anticipated completion: August 2026
SH 37 Two-Way
Left-Turn Lane
This week, crews will continue roadway widening and embankment work. The speed limit remains reduced to 45 mph throughout the project.
The project includes widening the roadway and installing a continuous two-way left-turn lane.
The anticipated completion of the project is August 2026.
