Looking for a place to eat Thanksgiving? Tired, hungry and don’t feel like cooking?

Well, search no more: here’s a list of places that you and your loved ones can eat on Thanksgiving Day if you don’t have “thyme” to make it yourself. “Bready” or not, here they come!

Hosted in partnership with the UT Tyler Social Work Club, Logan’s Place and the Rose Hill Community Food Pantry, Mineola are hosting a “Mineola Community Friendsgiving” on Thanksgiving Day from 10:30 to 3:30. It will be held at Logan’s Place.

New Hope Baptist Church at 3855 FM 1801 east of Mineola will serve a Thanksgiving Day dinner at 1 p.m.

On Lake Fork in Quitman, the Oak Ridge Marina will hold their 11th annual “Thanksgiving Day Feast on Lake Fork.” Adult prices are $19.99, and meals will include everything from turkey and ham to dinner rolls and pumpkin pie.

Red Dome Smokehouse in Quitman will be offering a buffet-only meal on the 23rd from 10:30 to 3. For just $17, Thanksgiving visitors to the restaurant will be “berry” glad to find that they can have turkey, potatoes and other traditional foods.

Should you want a pick-me-up before the big meal later on, Alba Family Restaurant & Fish House will be offering items from their breakfast menu until 11 o’clock, at which point they will close for the day.

There’s also a handful of places which will pre-cook your Thanksgiving meal for you. With an order deadline of November 17, The Line in Mineola will cook “pretty much anything” inside the traditional Thanksgiving foods. Just call or message them on Facebook to put in an order, and pick it up the day before Thanksgiving! If you’d prefer to eat your own meat on the big day, however, residents can bring a turkey or ham to Mack’s Split Rail BBQ in Mineola and they’ll custom-smoke it for just $1.75 a pound. They will also clean and smoke a brisket for $2.25 a pound.

Fusion in the Woods Catering offers a variety of menu choices, including a la carte and packages. Deadline to order is Nov. 19.

With all the work and time that is put into Thanksgiving meals, maybe contacting one of these places to help save some time and energy is “pumpkin” to consider.
