Vernon Howard Baldwin  1957-2023

Vernon Howard Baldwin was born Jan. 28, 1957 in Hernando, Miss. and passed away at home on June 1, 2023 in Yantis.

He was a Baptist in faith, who was a jack-of-all-trades. He loved anything outdoors including hunting, fishing and his garden. Those who knew him knew Vernon specifically loved black coffee, fried green tomatoes, squash, catfish and bananas. He was also an avid Elvis fan.

Vernon is survived by his wife of 37 years, Tammy Baldwin; his five children, Vernon Baldwin Jr. and wife Melissa of Potts Camp, Miss., Chuck Baldwin and wife Amy of Potts Camp, Brianne Baldwin of Yantis, Bridget Thompson and husband Michael of Mount Pleasant and Andrew Baldwin and wife Tiffany of Garland; his three brothers, Larry Johnson, Alfredo Yanez and Nick Posado; his 13 grandchildren, Amber Nunnally, Adrian Baldwin, Elijah Baldwin, Emma Baldwin, Evangeline Thompson, Jonathan McIntire, Lexie Baldwin, Lily McIntire, McKenzie Baldwin, Peyton Baldwin, Ragan Baldwin, Riley Baldwin and Ryan Baldwin; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Eugene and Alice Pearl Baldwin; his brothers, Raymond Jr., Donald Sr. and Gary; and both of his maternal and fraternal grandparents. 

Celebration of life memorial service will be at his home in August, date yet to be determined.
