Volunteer firemen hosting benefit fish fry

Posted

The Coke/Pleasant Grove Volunteer Fire Department will have its annual fundraising dinner Feb. 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the fire station on FM 515 and FM 69.

The meal consists of three-piece fish or chicken strips with slaw and french fries, hush puppies, drink and dessert. Donations will be accepted. The fish, fries and coleslaw are being prepared by Red Dome Catering of Quitman.

The public is invited to meet local first responders. The Coke/Pleasant Grove VFD is a volunteer organization. Those interested in becoming a part of this community service organization can ask any member for an application. No experience is necessary and training is available.

It is encouraged that if experiencing flu-like symptoms, please stay home and stay safe. Food will be served until 8 p.m. unless the supply runs out early, so don’t be late.
