Winnsboro ISD Education Foundation thanks sponsors, plans trivia fundraiser
The Winnsboro ISD Education Foundation recently recognized its sponsors and community partners and is preparing for its annual Dub-Town Showdown trivia fundraiser.
The foundation hosted “The Perfect Blend,” a sponsor appreciation breakfast Sept. 22 at the Winnsboro Chamber of Commerce. Local business owners, community leaders and representatives from area organizations attended.
The breakfast was held to thank sponsors for their continued support of the foundation and its efforts to provide educational opportunities, fund classroom projects and support Winnsboro ISD teachers, staff and students.
The foundation’s next major fundraiser will be the Dub-Town Showdown “Boots & Brains” Annual Trivia Night on Monday, Nov. 9, at the Winnsboro Civic Center.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with trivia beginning at 7 p.m. This year’s theme is “Cowboy Grit Meets Trivia Wit.” In addition to the trivia competition, the event will include food, raffles and a silent auction.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will support programs in Winnsboro ISD classrooms.
Individual admission is $35, and table sponsorships ranging from $250 to $750 are available.
For information about reserving a trivia table, sponsorship opportunities or donating an item for the silent auction, contact Tona Blizzard, Winnsboro ISD Education Foundation vice president of development, at 817-247-0607 or tona.blizzard@gmail.com.
