August 21

Deputy Skinner, theft, CR 2310; someone broke into the victim’s vehicle during night, used her credit cards, case forwarded to investigations.

Cpl. Rapp, Deputy McGee, disturbance, Lake Hawkins; deputies located  intoxicated female, determined female too intoxicated to drive, she advised she would stay on property.

Deputies, mental health warrant, CR 1900; subject placed in custody, transported to receive treatment.

August 22 

Deputy Skinner, follow up on animal complaint; observed dogs to have food and water, still needing medical treatment, made contact with animal rescue that advised dogs still on list to receive treatment.

Cpl. Rapp, warrant service, Adult Probation. Krystal Millsap arrested for active warrant.

Deputy Way, debit card abuse, Holiday Village; while victim was in jail she gave someone personal items to take care of, person used her card for multiple items, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Williams, suspicious circumstance, CR 3547; when victim showed up to rent house she is moving into, noticed someone had broken in, stolen items, landlord contacted who advised multiple items missing from residence, he believes several rent houses had been broken into, case forwarded to investigations.

August 23 

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, animal complaint, CR 1689; six dogs left behind by previous owner, dog owner advised she was unable to care for animals anymore, they were surrendered, transported to sheriff’s office.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Rich, Deputy Haley, Deputy Comeaux, warrant service, CR 3984; caller observed wanted subject in yard, deputies met with female subject who was uncooperative, deputies could hear someone walking inside residence, James Cox located, arrested on active warrants. Mollie Murphy arrested for hindering apprehension of known felon. 

August 24

Cpl. Croney, burglary of vehicle, CR 3226; during night someone broke into multiple vehicles on property, stole items, fingerprints taken from vehicle, offense report completed.

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, jail equipment turned into staff from an unknown subject. Deputies dispatched to found items call, detention officer uniform located on side of road, appropriate agency contacted, employee advised his vehicle had been broken into the night previously, offense report completed.

Cpl. Croney, theft of firearm, CR 3114; someone broke into victim’s vehicle, stole firearm, firearm entered as stolen, offense report completed.

Deputy Pollard, burglary of vehicle, CR 4660; during night someone broke into vehicle, stole items, wallet later located on side of road with debit cards, cash missing, offense report completed.

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, theft of multiple firearms, FM 778; two vehicles burglarized during night, three firearms taken, entered as stolen, offense report completed. 

August 25

Cpl. Croney, burglary of building, Hwy. 37; during the last month someone broke into storage unit, stole multiple items, deputies awaiting camera footage from store’s security cameras, offense report completed.

Deputies, deceased subject; deputies located subject deceased at residence, autopsy ordered due unattended death.

Deputy Holland, deceased subject with EMS; caller advised they visited subject the day prior, when they came by today, found them deceased in residence, due to subject’s medical condition and history, no foul play suspected.

August 26

Cpl. Rapp, Deputy Smith, missing person, CR 3170; Winnsboro PD missing person might be in area, deputies unable to locate the subject, located him later in day in a different area, stayed with subject until Winnsboro PD arrived.

Cpl. Rapp, fraud, FM 779; someone got victim to send banking, personal info online, deputies located where suspect possibly resides, appropriate agency contacted.

Deputy Skinner, structure fire, Hwy. 80; victim advised he was asleep when he noticed RV on fire, which spread into his shop. 

August 27

Cpl. Rapp, Deputy Smith, disturbance, CR 4660; caller and husband were in verbal disturbance when he drove his vehicle into the house, no offense occurred, male agreed to fix the house.

Deputy Smith, theft, CR 1879; landlord wanted tenants evicted from property, deputies learned multiple reports had been filed from landlord and tenants previously, no evidence any items were stolen.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Williams, Deputy Way, disturbance, Hwy. 154; deputies notified suspects left in vehicle headed toward Quitman, conducted a traffic stop on suspect’s vehicle, no one wished to pursue charges.
