December 14

Deputy Burdick, disturbance, FM 1795. Suspect fled with needle to nearby store, then went back to residence. Deputy able to secure suspect, suspect transported for mental evaluation due to suicidal statements.

Deputy Kovic, scam; caller received call that grandson was in jail, she needed to send money, sent money in mail, later discovered was scam, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Cox, theft; victim has been in hospital, returned home, Xbox missing from residence, provided serial number, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Rapp, theft, Hwy. 37; business owner advised former employee stole multiple items, list made of items, case forwarded to investigations.

Three animal calls, one agency assist.

December 15

Deputy Kovic, harassment; caller stated ex-wife kept contacting him, accusing him, suspect called, denied harassment, advised to start recording conversations.

Deputy Rapp and Sgt. Cox, disturbance, Hwy. 154; suspect stated husband would not let him inside residence, victim stated suspect became angry, popped door off RV, pushed him over table. Michael Phipps, 37, Yantis arrested for assault.

Deputy Rapp, theft, FM 312; property owner advised ex-employee living on property, when he moved, items were missing, list of items made, case forwarded to investigations.

Two agency assists.

December 16

Deputy Way and Deputy Pollard, disturbance, Hwy. 154; individual provided false name, determined had active warrant. While placing suspect in custody, another party became upset, tried to hinder arrest, began to resist arrest. Delante Agurs, 30, Quitman arrested for resisting arrest; Lee Lavell, 34, Quitman arrested for Dallas County warrant.

Deputy Croney and Deputy Morrison, theft, FM 515; caller advised someone stealing gravel from TxDOT, suspect located, material returned, no charges pressed.

Two animal calls, one agency assist.

December 17

Deputy Croney; caller advised on Thanksgiving, he was bound up by his father and two brothers, when they took him home, they threw him into the yard. Deputy awaiting report from original agency. 

Deputy Rapp, possible burglary, Holiday Villages; deputies observed no damage to residence or signs of forced entry.

Two animal calls, two agency assists.

December 18

Deputy Morrison and Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance, County Road 2276; victim and wife arguing, she punched him in the face, unable to locate suspect until she came outside, attempted to flee from officers. While trying to detain suspect, she attempted to kick officers and resist. Meredith Sanders, 40, Mineola arrested for assault, resisting arrest.

Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance, FM 2966; victim went to pick up her kids, ex-husband became upset, kicked her car, hit her with a cup. Deputy unable to speak with suspect, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Rapp, theft; caller advised he was having someone work on truck, multiple items taken from it, provided list of items, two possible suspects, case forwarded to investigations.

December 19

Deputy Kovic, theft; caller had package delivered at old residence, package missing, current homeowners advised package not at residence, but mailman described house it was left at, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Morrison, criminal mischief, County Road 2670; business owner advised damage done to equipment, copper wire stolen, case forwarded to investigations.

December 20

Cpl. Baldwin and Deputy Rapp, disturbance, County Road 3540; caller observed male hitting female, attempted to walk away, victim advised she and suspect got into argument, he hit her. Deputies unable to locate suspect, case forwarded to investigations.

Cpl. Baldwin, criminal mischief, County Road 3840; observed two windows broken, waiting to speak with property owner to see if items stolen.
