Wood County Sheriff’s Report
January 11
Sgt. Cox and Deputy Rapp, disturbance, Private Road 6885; suspect began arguing with victim, made threats. After suspect placed under arrest, he began banging head on patrol vehicle, removed to prevent further harm, then began resisting officers. Erick Sorrosa, 23, Quitman arrested for assault, resisting arrest.
Two animal calls, one transport.
January 12
Deputy Kovic, assault; protection order against caller’s ex-boyfriend, he had assaulted her. Caller allowed ex to move back in with her, during argument, he pushed her down, case forwarded to investigations.
Deputy Rapp, false drug test at adult probation; worker advised suspect attempting to falsify drug test. William Henson, 61, Winnsboro arrested for falsification of drug test.
Deputy Rapp, scam, County Road 2724; victim selling vehicle online, received check in mail. Several days later, victim’s bank advised check was fraudulent, case forwarded to investigations.

January 13
Deputy Morrison, warrant service, Private Road 7160. Charles Bell, 24, Quitman arrested for outstanding warrant.
Deputy Croney, theft; jewelry missing from victim’s mother’s house, provided possible suspects, case forwarded to investigations.
Cpl. Cooper, traffic stop, FM 17; observed vehicle stop past stop line, got behind vehicle, observed vehicle registration expired, stopped vehicle, observed driver shaking, breathing heavily. During pat down, baggie with crystal-like substance located in driver’s pocket. Patrick Callis, 61, Quitman arrested for possession of controlled substance.

January 14
Sgt. Milbourn, traffic stop, FM 2966; observed vehicle fail to use turn signal, speed off. Deputy received information that driver was distributing narcotics, had previous drug offenses. During canine search, dog alerted on vehicle. Deputies located multiple large bags of crystal-like substance, total weight 749 grams. George Reschke, 45, Yantis arrested for manufacture/delivery of controlled substance.
Deputy Croney, warrant service, County Road 3802. Ana Thompson, 24, Hawkins arrested for outstanding warrant.
Deputy Way, disturbance, FM 515; victim’s brother got into argument which turned physical, brother began hitting, kicking victim, suspect left residence prior to deputies’ arrival, case forwarded to investigations.
One animal call, one transport.
January 15
Deputy Croney, warrant service, County Road 1858; assisted CID on search warrant, narcotics discovered. Paula Box, 59, and Falon Honea, 34 arrested for possession of controlled substance.
Deputy Croney, theft; building manager advised someone cut electrical wire out of house they were building, provided possible suspect, case forwarded to investigations.
Deputy Morrison, theft; caller received multiple charges to banking app that he did not approve, believes someone hacked into account, made charges.
Corporal Rapp, disturbance, Private Road 5551; victim and suspect got into argument, deputies located marijuana in container. Jacobs Timmons, 21, Alba arrested for possession of marijuana.
One animal call, three agency assists.
January 16
Corporal Baldwin, fraud, FM 2869; business owner advised they located two fraudulent checks they did not write, suspect information obtained, case forwarded to investigations.
Deputy Kovic, burglary, County Road 1900; someone broke into victim’s truck during night, stole medication from vehicle, victim provided possible suspect, case forwarded to investigations.
Sgt. Cox, warrant service, Winnsboro. Franklin County picked up subject, met at county line. Tiffany Watts, 44, Winnsboro arrested for outstanding warrant.
Two agency assists.
January 17
Deputy Rapp, theft, County Road 3545; someone stole building materials from residence, neighbor had camera footage of suspect vehicle, case forwarded to investigations.
Deputy Rapp, theft, County Road 3600; someone took multiple items from work site, case forwarded to investigations.
