January 18

Cpl. Cooper, disturbance, County Road 1643; victim advised she and husband got into argument, nothing became physical, but deputy observed bruising on victim, which she stated happened from prior assault. Christopher Winkle, 33, Yantis arrested for assault.

Deputy Hughes and Deputy Gould, warrant service, FM 2088; suspect’s girlfriend advised they got into argument, he fled area, located suspect who attempted to flee residence. Joshua Lindley, 40, Quitman arrested for outstanding warrant, violation of protective order.

Deputy Pollard, intoxicated person, county jail; suspect advised he was intoxicated, wanted to go back to jail. Charles London, 59, Mansfield arrested for public intoxication.

January 19

Deputy Rapp, disturbance, FM 14; victims advised suspect came to residence, began arguing, trying to upset them, wished to have suspect criminally trespassed.

Deputy Croney, disturbance, Holly Lake Ranch; victim and husband got into argument, he wrapped his arm around her neck, did not wish to pursue charges, parties were separated.

Two animal calls, three agency assists.

January 20

Deputy Rapp, theft; victim pulled over to help someone having vehicle issues, let suspect charge phone in his vehicle. When victim got home, money missing from wallet. Days after first incident, checks cashed in the victim’s name, case forwarded to investigations.

January 21

Deputy Kovic, disturbance, FM 312; victim’s grandson became upset, got into argument, victim wished for grandson to be removed from property due to getting violent with her in the past, suspect transported by EMS due to taking multiple pills.

Deputy Gould, disturbance, Private Road 5679; victim got into argument with boyfriend who pushed her down, suspect advised victim slipped and fell. Clifford Herriage, 38, Alba arrested for outstanding warrant and assault.

January 22

Sgt. Morrison, traffic stop, FM 2966; vehicle missing license plate stopped, blocking roadway. After positive canine alert, deputies searched vehicle, located drug paraphernalia, small amount of crystal-like substance. David McLoughlin, 43, Yantis arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputy Gould spoke to caller who asked for advice on not receiving payment for work he did to vehicle, advised to contact justice of the peace to seek reimbursement in court. 

Deputy Gould, disturbance, FM 779; property owner advised male trying to fight his daughter and boyfriend at residence, property owner advised they need to stop contact with suspect, he was advised to stop coming to residence.

January 23

Deputy Croney, animal complaint, County Road 284; business owner stated someone dropped off malnourished dogs at shelter during night, working to get camera footage of suspect vehicle, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Croney, scam; caller advised she received email that delivery was being made for item she did not purchase, caller was advised to check if she was actually charged for item. 

Deputy Hughes, welfare check, Hwy. 80; observed vehicle on side of road with flashers on, driver advised son having difficulty breathing and staying awake; son transported to hospital.

One agency assist.

January 24

Sgt. Williams, warrant service, FM 779. Marvin Smith, 56, Alba arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputy Whisenhunt, fraud; victim advised she has multiple charges to bank account that she did not approve, provided possible suspect, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Croney, terroristic threat, Hwy. 37; victim advised he got into argument, suspect made threatening comments. Before deputies arrived, suspect fled into woods, deputies unable to locate him.

Deputy Croney, fraud; caller advised he was speaking to TV provider, gave credit card information, began getting fraudulent charges to card, able to get card canceled before charges went through.

Deputy Burdick, suspicious person, Loop 564; female observed laying in ditch unable to walk, male with strong odor of alcohol. Arne Oliver, 43, Mineola arrested for public intoxication.
