Wood County Sheriff’s Report
September 6
Cpl. Baldwin, burglary, CR 2700; property owner replacing windows on house, noticed someone removed one, tools stolen from residence, case forwarded to investigations.
Sgt. Cox, Deputy Kovic, disturbance, CR 1987; male and female walking down road arguing, deputies located vehicle blocking roadway, did not observe the two subjects.
Deputy Comeaux, disturbance, Jarvis; deputy spoke with security who already took statements from involved parties, stories conflicting, one person had fled on foot, incident report completed due to lack of information.
September 7
Sgt. Cox, welfare check, CR 1946; CPS advised trying to contact to check on children, denied multiple times. Deputies unable to make contact, neighbors advised vehicle left residence with large suitcase.
Deputy Kovic, terroristic threat; caller stated female has been threatening her over the phone, offense report completed.
Sgt. Mayer, animal welfare; deputies observed food, water for horses, still looked poor, follow up will be completed.
Cpl. Burdick, suspicious vehicle, Hwy. 154; passenger Jason Flowers found to have active warrant, arrested.
Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Kovic, warrant service, Holiday Village. Roland Temple arrested for active warrant.
September 8
Cpl. Croney, theft; caller advised someone test drove vehicle he was selling, never brought it back, owner has attempted to contact suspect multiple times, vehicle entered as stolen.
Cpl. Croney, theft of service; property owner stated someone rented cabin, left without paying, offense report completed.
Deputy Pollard, theft, Hwy. 154; someone stole caller’s four-wheeler, knew possible suspect, offense report completed. Later in day, deputy observed four-wheeler matching description, owner identified four-wheeler, released to him.
September 9
Deputy Way, assault, Holly Lake Ranch; caller assaulted by mother’s friends, witnesses stated caller assaulted mother, friend stepped in to stop him. No one wished to press charges.
Deputies, shots fired, FM 779; located individual with gun shot wound, criminal investigation division notified.
Deputies, disturbance, Private Road 8697; victim fled scene.
September 10
Deputy Way, Deputy Pollard, 911 hang up, Holly Lake Ranch; male restrained mother in closet, struck her with clothes hanger, son detained, brought to Sheriff’s Office to speak with juvenile probation.
Cpl. Croney, assault, Hawkins; victims advised while in their room at Jarvis, females came into dorm, assaulted them, no suspect information given.
Sgt. Williams, Deputy Rich, stolen vehicle, Hwy. 154; vehicle owner called back, stated vehicle returned.
September 11
Deputy Skinner, disturbance, Hwy. 69; no offense occurred. Justin Pritchett arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Haley, violation of court orders, FM 1799; suspect entered residence he was not allowed to enter, fled before deputies’ arrival, offense report completed.
Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Haley, suspicious circumstance, CR 3269; property owner stated dogs had been barking at something, took off in the woods, located unspent round laying on porch, deputies unable to locate suspect.
September 12
Deputy Skinner, abandoned vehicle, FM 49; left there multiple days, towed.
Deputy Kovic, agency assist; Mineola PD requested transport for someone arrested for theft.
Sgt. Cox, Deputy Skinner, disturbance, CR 2375; caller, daughter got into argument, no offense occurred, parties separated.
