Cpl. Rapp, theft, FM 514; multiple appliances, trailer stolen from property, owner provided possible suspects, case forwarded to investigations.

Lt. Milbourn, Sgt. Cox, Cpl. Rapp, warrant service, CR 2280; family member advised they had not seen wanted person in months. Deputies later responded to residence due to disturbance with wanted subject, father advised subject hiding in garage. Heath Matthews arrested for outstanding warrants. Zach Matthews arrested for hindering apprehension of fugitive.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Haley, assault in progress, CR 4530; caller left scene to prevent possible injury. While deputies spoke with caller, involved party spoke with deputies, warrant will be created for suspect for assault.

December 28

Sgt. Cox, structure fire; neighbor advised homeowners out of town, saw smoke on security cameras, fire marshal notified. 

Sgt. Cox, burglary; victim advised two suspects entered house, stole cash, victim provided video footage, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Burdick, assault, CR 3880; victim advised argument broke out, she was pushed into wall and floor. Parties wished to pursue charges.

Deputy Comeaux, scam; victim advised someone called him claiming to be agent and he needed to make payment. 

December 29 

Deputy Whisenhunt, theft, CR 2370; caller noticed hay mower missing, report completed.

Deputy Cato, dog bite, Quitman ER; witness advised daughter was feeding friend’s dog, it bit her in the face, dog owner contacted, provided up-to-date vaccine records. 

Cpl. Smith, Deputy Cato, Deputy Wade, disturbance, Hwy. 154; two females in physical altercation, parties did not want to cooperate with deputies, neither wished to pursue charges.

December 30

Deputy Pollard, theft; female stole four firearms from caller, provided serial numbers, entered as stolen.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Rich, disturbance, FM 17; couple got into argument that became physical. John Hampton arrested for assault impeding breath.

Deputy Pollard, criminal mischief; someone cut fence during night, due to previous issues with neighbor, property owner listed as possible suspect. 

December 31

Deputy Whisenhunt, dog bite, Quitman ER; victim watching sons’ dog which bit her, dog owner contacted, able to provide vaccine records.

Deputy Cato, scam; caller scammed when someone asked to send gift cards.

Cpl. Croney, Deputy Whisenhunt, suicidal subject, Hawkins; elderly male walking around park unsure where he was, talking to people who were not there, transported to receive treatment.

Deputy Rich, burglary, FM 69; party received call saying there was vehicle at property they are watching, caller located male and female inside residence, observed forced entry, deputies waiting to hear from property owner if they wish to pursue charges. 

Underage drinking, Alba; deputies located several individuals drinking, under 21, parties cooperated with deputies by disposing of alcohol.

Deputy Cato, disturbance, CR 1700; granddaughter, grandfather got into physical altercation. Citations were being issued to both parties until grandfather threw sticks at granddaughter. William Haven arrested for assault.

January 1

Deputy Skinner, theft, Holiday Villages; previous employee stole items from caller’s residence, waiting to see if homeowner will press charges.

Deputy Comeaux, burglary, Yantis; when victim came out of store, observed vehicle door open, papers missing from glovebox. Due to victim not knowing if items were taken, incident was documented.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Haley, violation of bond conditions, Hwy. 37; male may be around his wife although he has bond conditions preventing him from seeing her. Deputies locate Bryan Smith who was placed in custody. 

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Burdick, assault, Holly Lake Ranch; victim and roommate got into argument, pushed victim down. Robert Bowen arrested for assault.

January 2

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Burdick, missing person; caller’s elderly mother not at residence, deputies located her inside, caller advised he would stay to ensure she was OK.

Lt. Milbourn, Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Way, missing person; caller’s husband who has dementia left residence, has not returned. Deputies located subject on property, refused EMS.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Way, harassment, CR 3984; victims believe neighbor has been giving out their number to people who are calling about services. Deputies located online ad that had victim’s number, offense report completed.
