February 7

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Rapp, scam; victim paid someone for dog, never received it or money back, offense report completed.

Cpl. Burdick, agency assist, Holly Lake Ranch; security stated male driving fast through area fled when they tried to pull him over, trespass warning issued.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Haley, death investigation; victim had been deceased for some time. Due to suspicious circumstances, investigators notified, autopsy ordered.

February 8

Deputy Comeaux, animal welfare concern, FM 2088; cows not being taken care of, deputies did not locate much grass in pasture, follow up will be completed.

Sgt. Mayer, Cpl. Burdick, suicidal juvenile; mother refused to get daughter help, CPS contacted, father contacted, advised he would help get treatment.

Deputy Way, assault, Jarvis; male pushed victim into door, deputies and Jarvis security unable to locate suspect, offense report completed. 

February 9

Deputies, follow up on animal welfare concern; observed multiple cows malnourished in pasture with not enough grass, owner contacted, advised he would sell several cows to allow others better conditions.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Whisenhunt, warrant service, Holly Lake Ranch; deputies observed wanted person through window who refused to come outside, entry made, Phillip Emerson located, placed in custody.

Cpl. Smith, suspicious person; contact made with male, arrested by DPS for public intoxication.

February 10

Deputy Cato, theft, County Road 2297; caller’s brother came to her property, stole gate, offense report completed.

Sgt. Williams, call, FM 515; while en route, observed male walking beside road with hands in air, Jake Fears arrested for public intoxication, deputies located crystal-like substance on subject, also charged with possession of controlled substance. 

Deputies, runaway juvenile; caller advised granddaughter ran away from home. Hawkins PD located juvenile, returned her to residence, probation officer contacted, incident report completed. 

February 11

Deputy Pollard, follow up; caller stated father who was entered as missing showed up at her residence, victim had car trouble the night prior, had to sleep in vehicle. 

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Cato, missing juvenile; while deputies en route, mother called, advised daughter just returned, mother requested daughter’s boyfriend and grandfather criminally trespassed from residence. 

February 12 

Cpl. Smith, welfare check, County Road 2234; subject checked by EMS, transported for further medical assistance.

Sgt. Mayer, burglary, County Road 2100; victim received alarm notification for shop, someone attempted to force entry but left before entering. 

Cpl. Rapp, Deputy Nichols, follow up; victim’s dog taken previously, missing again, due to gate being taken, it is believed dog escaped.

February 13 

Cpl. Rapp, request to speak; caller advised family members taking items from deceased fathers’ property, caller has power of attorney, he told her to not let anyone have items, advised to contact lawyer.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Comeaux  disturbance, Hwy. 37; both parties confirmed disturbance only verbal, female not making sense, EMS checked on her, transported for treatment.
