February 21

Deputy Comeaux, burglary, CR 1681; caller received text that brother’s house had been broken into, property owner out of town, brother assisting deputies with report, door lock busted, items out of place.

Deputy Nichols, incident with vehicle; caller making payments on vehicle, unable to make all payments, previous vehicle owner came to residence, took keys from vehicle, caller had vehicle towed off property.

Deputy Haley, assault, CR 3526; victim punched in stomach by child’s father. Deputies unable to see any marks on victim, case forwarded to investigations. 

February 22

Sgt. Cox, terroristic threat; caller located notebook near his vehicle that had what he believed to be a threat toward him and his mother. Deputies contacted possible suspect who stated he was threatened by original caller. 

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Comeaux, welfare check, Hwy. 182; deputies observed subject walking on wrong side of road, subject admitted to being drunk, had multiple cans of alcohol. Due to subject not being able to provide address where he lived, Brady Vestal arrested for public intoxication.

Cpl. Smith, Deputy Haley, disturbance, CR 2153. Deputies made contact with female who was acting aggressive to other parties, highly intoxicated. Brittany Robbins arrested for public intoxication. At the jail, jailers located crystal-like substance, also charged with possession of controlled substance and prohibited substance in correctional facility.

February 23 

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, structure fire, Hwy. 80; prior to deputy’s arrival, all occupants got out of residence, structure destroyed, several others nearby damaged. 

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Williams, disturbance; caller advised niece was off medication, needed assistance. EMS checked on subject, advised she was okay.

Deputies, roll over accident on private property; subject was inside skid steer that had rolled over, unable to get out. Deputies and firemen got subject out, checked by EMS.

February 24 

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Whisenhunt, emergency protective order violation; caller received call from male in jail who she had protection order against, male contacted, said he did not know there was protection order, offense report completed.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Cato, warrant service, CR 3420. Fredrick Williams placed in custody for active warrant.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Rich, reckless driver, Hwy. 154; deputies located subject, appeared to be highly intoxicated. At  jail, trooper performed breath analysis that read three times the legal limit. Taylor Frey arrested for enhanced DWI.

February 25

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, warrant service, Mineola. Gracie Grant arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputy Pollard, intoxicated pedestrian, CR 3540; female highly intoxicated, attempting to get rides from strangers. Jennielynn Fincher arrested for public intoxication. 

Sgt. Morrion, Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance, Hwy. 154; victim assaulted by granddaughter who fled scene, deputies located suspect walking down road. After seeing victims’ injuries, Sandra Kristilynn arrested for assault.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Burdick, injury to child; suspect and his child had left prior to deputies’ arrival, Smith County notified to do welfare check, suspect detained until deputy arrived. Joseph Bonnette arrested for child endangerment.

February 26

Lt. Kovic, Sgt. Cox, Deputy Skinner, Jarvis College, bomb threat; head of security advised they have received multiple false bomb threats from same email. Deputies performed walk through of buildings, did not locate anything. 

Cpl. Rapp, Deputy Nichols, criminal trespass; caller advised no one supposed to be staying at residence, it might be her daughter. Donna Hanson arrested for criminal trespass.

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Comeaux, road rage, Hawkins; Hawkins unit pulled over vehicle, driver advised incident occurred in Mineola, Mineola PD notified.

Lt. Kovic, Deputy Comeaux, disturbance, CR 1247; victim stated girlfriend hit him because she was intoxicated. Deputies transported female to hotel to separate the parties, female issued citation. 

February 27

Deputy Nichols, suspicious circumstance, CR 3894; property owner advised lock on electric meter had been cut, electric company notified, replaced lock.

Sgt. Cox, scam call; victim received phone call stating he had warrants, needed to give caller pre-paid gift cards. 

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Way, agency assist, Jarvis. Smith County advised subject on campus had warrant, they would like assistance detaining male. Upon deputies’ arrival, male waiting on them, placed in custody.
