Deputy Whisenhunt, dog bite, Quitman ER; victim bitten by her dog while attempting to break them up during fight. Due to vaccine records being expired, dog must be quarantined.

June 5

Deputy Whisenhunt, dog bite, Quitman ER; victim bitten by her dog while attempting to break them up during fight. Due to vaccine records being expired, dog must be quarantined.

Deputy George, theft, CR 4350; someone stole ATV from residence, neighbors did not see or hear anything, ATV entered as stolen.

Deputy George, environmental; caller’s neighbor dumping sewage onto his property, two goats have become sick due to sewage, offense report completed. 

Deputy Williams, agency assist, FM 69; Hopkins County deputy observed wanted subject, conducted traffic stop, subject arrested, transported to Hopkins County jail.

June 6 

Deputy Whisenhunt, runaway; caller’s daughter took vehicle during night, possibly headed to another state, caller wished to enter vehicle as stolen, juvenile entered as runaway.

Cpl. Croney, theft; two batteries stolen from transformer, offense report completed.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy George, robbery, Lake Holbrook; male subject advised victim and friend he needed money, disturbance ensued, victim struck in face, a suspect took money out of victim’s vehicle, offense report completed.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Rich, mental health issue; caller advised he was having mental issues, may hurt himself, transported to receive treatment.

June 7

Sgt. Cox, female lying in ditch; caller found neighbor deceased outside her vehicle, deputies observed no signs of foul play, autopsy ordered.

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Skinner, aggressive dog, CR 2260; caller advised of aggressive mother dog with puppies, deputies trapped mother, will return to retrieve puppies.

Deputy Comeaux, disturbance, FM 1643; male entered father’s residence, disturbance began that became physical. Christopher Davis arrested for assault, CPS contacted due to children being in residence during altercation.

Sgt. Mayer, Cpl. Smith, warrant service, FM 1799; deputies spoke with subject at residence, believed wanted subject to be on property, located Benjamin Barrera, arrested for active warrant.

June 8

Deputy Nichols, theft, CR 4580; victim thinks grandson stole firearm from residence and large number of coins, firearm entered as stolen, offense report completed. 

Sgt. Cox, terroristic threat; caller driving on FM 778 when  vehicle passed erratically, pulled into driveway, driver pointed firearm at victim, made racial slurs, caller will provide dash cam video, offense report completed.

Deputy Comeaux, damage to property, CR 1558; someone struck parked boat trailer, left scene, witness provided description of suspect vehicle, caller will contact fishing tournament to try and locate suspect. 

Sgt. Mayer, Cpl. Smith, Deputy Haley, possible burglary in progress; someone possibly broke into  abandoned house next door, deputies cleared building, did not locate signs of building being burglarized.

June 9

Cpl. Rapp, Deputy Nichols, physical disturbance, Hwy. 37; victim’s roommate came into his room yelling about dogs being loud, suspect threw victim on ground, put him in choke hold, victim wished to press charges, had signs of injuries. Bradley Hudson arrested for assault impeding breathing.

Deputy Nichols, theft, Hwy. 154; male subject stole items, suspect contacted, advised items  were his. Caller Heather Flores arrested on active warrant.

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Comeaux, warrant service, Hwy. 37. Tammy Crow arrested for active warrant.

Deputy Comeaux, burglary, FM 515; residence vacant for a while, items missing, offense report completed, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Comeaux, gunshot wound, Quitman ER; victim advised he was working on firearm when it went off, shot finger, victim’s wife confirmed story.

June 10

Cpl. Croney, burglary, Hwy. 154; camper broken into, items taken, possible suspect provided.

Lt. Milbourn, Sgt. Morrison, Deputy George, warrant service, FM 14. Charles Coleman arrested for active warrant.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy George, mental episode, CR 3494; caller’s son seeing things, having mental episode, subject advised he was not seeing things, did wish to go to hospital, transported to receive treatment. 

June 11

Cpl. Croney, damage to property, while en route to residence, deputy heard child screaming, call dropped, caller contacted again, advised she was en route to ER due to child being in bicycle accident. Deputies responded to Winnsboro ER to perform welfare check.

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, warrant service, Winnsboro. Tatum Adams arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputy George, animal cruelty, Hwy. 80; caller advised son was cutting her dogs, caller found to be hallucinating, transported to receive treatment.

Deputy Rich, harassment; caller’s ex-boyfriend making threats about current boyfriend, deputy observed texts that showed suspect threatening serious bodily harm, offense report completed.
