June 26

Cpl. Smith, possible stolen property, CR 2320; phone stolen, pinging at certain address, homeowner gave consent to search area, phone not located on property.

Deputy Haley, possible cruelty to animals, CR 2175; caller observed male feeding puppies yesterday, today all are dead. Deputy spoke with multiple witnesses, report will be completed.

Deputy Comeaux, horses out, FM 14; deputy observed horses out, got them into nearby pasture, unable to contact horse owners.

June 27

Deputy Nichols, harassment; caller receiving derogatory texts from female who he has advised to stop contacting him, deputy called suspect’s phone, left voicemail to return call. 

Deputy Skinner, Deputy Comeaux, disturbance, FM 2869; neighbor came onto victim’s property with machete, physical disturbance ensued, suspect advised he did come onto property with machete, victim did not wish to pursue charges.

Dispatch notified of stolen vehicle, Hwy. 37. Quitman PD located vehicle on 37, pursuit began, vehicle wrecked out driver, Dalton Lawrence, taken into custody.

Deputy Comeaux, possible assault, Winnsboro ER; Winnsboro ER advised patient appeared to have been in assault, subject did not wish to speak with law enforcement or give any details.

June 28 

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, suicidal subject, FM 2966; female dropped her baby off, advised she was going to harm herself, deputies located subject who had returned to residence to retrieve child because she changed her mind, subject transported by EMS to receive treatment, CPS contacted.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Burdick, Deputy George, suicidal subject with gun, CR 2153; subject failed to comply with deputies, taser deployed, subject assisted to ground without further incident, transported to receive treatment.

Deputies, disturbance, Holly Lake Ranch; victim advised boyfriend assaulted her, prevented her from calling 911. Corbin Fieldhauser arrested for assault, interference with emergency communications. 

June 29 

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance, CR 1660; female threatened caller with ax at his camper, multiple subjects advised verbal altercation occurred over community property, female displayed axe, began yelling obscenities. Due to conflicting stories, case forwarded to investigations.Female subject found to have active warrant, transported to ER to receive treatment for injury she obtained while trying to take property. Mardy Hughey later arrested for warrant after release from ER.

Deputy Pollard, possible attempted theft, CR 4897; someone attempted to steal four-wheeler. Other thefts have occurred in this area, possible suspect provided.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Rich, assault, Hwy. 154; male subject advised verbal altercation occurred earlier but nothing else. Contact made with female who had injuries from previous assault, fresh marks from assault that just occurred. Joey Pierce arrested for assault.

Cpl. Burdick, damage to property, CR 4660; caller and boyfriend got into argument, when he slammed car door, glass shattered, subject fled on foot due to having active warrants, deputies unable to locate subject.

June 30

Deputy Whisenhunt, criminal mischief, CR 1681; property owner advised during night someone shattered vehicle window, possible suspect given, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Morrison and Cpl. Croney, disturbance; victim advised she was hiding in bathroom due to husband damaging items in house, male subject located in residence was calm. Hospice and family members arrived to assist due to subject dealing with dementia. 

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance. Holly Lake Ranch; deputies learned physical altercation occurred between female, several family members, subject left prior to deputies’ arrival, made aware of possible location. Stephanie Boon located, arrested for injury to elderly and assault. 

Cpl. Croney, Cpl. Burdick, suspicious circumstance, Private Road 7850; employee observed vehicle to have marijuana in plain view, deputies contacted driver who was advised probable cause search would be performed, jar containing marijuana, two pills located. Christopher Cobb arrested for possession of controlled substance, CPS contacted due to child in vehicle. 

July 1

Cpl. Rapp, animal complaint, CR 1326; stray dog kept going into caller’s residence causing damage, neighbors believed dog was dropped off, dog taken to Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Comeaux, theft; caller unhooked trailer near asphalt pile off roadway, when he returned, trailer missing, entered as stolen.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Haley, Deputy Comeaux, suspicious person, CR 4430; possible wanted subject seen in area, deputies located subject, Cameron Kull, found to have active warrant, placed in custody.

July 2

Investigators, Deputy Skinner, warrant service. Coleton Shrum arrested for outstanding warrant, stolen property recovered from property. 

Cpl. Rapp, agency assist, Quitman PD; subject having mental breakdown destroyed personal property. Deputies detained subject, transported to receive treatment.

Cpl. Rapp, theft; caller recently took boat to Lake Hawkins, several weeks later he observed license plate missing, entered as stolen.

Deputy Way, Deputy Haley, harassment, CR 2167; neighbor had been bothering caller, had previous issues. Deputy looked at previous calls, determined caller was actually harassing neighbor, offense report completed.
