July 10

Deputy Skinner, theft; caller went to church with pistol, realized it was missing when he left, will provide serial number to be entered as stolen.

Deputy Way, theft, FM 1799; someone stole equipment off tractor on property, offense report completed.

Lt. Kovic, criminal mischief; caller let friend borrow vehicle, they went to friend’s house on Hwy. 80. When driver arrived at residence, subject came to car, did not allow her to get out of vehicle, kicked door multiple times causing damage, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Haley, terroristic threat, Holly Lake Ranch; while victim and husband were walking, several young men drove by, made alarming comments, deputy Haley located subjects, spoke with their parents, victim did not wish to pursue charges.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Comeaux, disturbance, Private Road 5986; parties had conflicting statements, unsure if they wished to pursue charges, parties separated, case forwarded to investigations.

July 11

Deputy Nichols, theft; caller advised company had agreement with truck driver to deliver load of water to the business, driver never showed up with water, advised truck broke down, will wait to see if water is delivered over the weekend.

Deputy Nichols, forgery; victim had friends staying with her, no lease agreement in place, learned friends filled out lease agreement with gated community without her consent, offense report completed.

Deputy Way, suspicious circumstance, CR 2169; victim was chatting with male online, sent money, when victim quit talking to subject, he threatened to come to residence, residence added to extra patrol.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Haley, disturbance, Holly Lake Ranch; male subject at victim’s residence attempting to enter without permission, victim harmed when suspect attempted to open door. Michael Fountain arrested for assault. 

July 12 

Cpl. Croney, animal bite, CR 2317; victim riding bike when dog bit him, deputy attempted to contact homeowner multiple times throughout the day, was not home, will continue to make contact with owner.

Cpl. Croney, Winnsboro PD, assault; earlier in day victim’s step brother pushed him off porch causing pain, deputy did not observe visual injuries, step brother advised he only touched step brother who lost balance, fell off of porch. Due to lack of evidence, suspect issued citation for assault.

Cpl. Croney, vehicle fire, FM 779; driver advised he smelled fuel, noticed truck was surging, when he stopped, opened hood, vehicle caught fire. 

Cpl. Croney, Deputy George, disturbance, CR 2375; suspect advised he struck uncle during argument, victim advised argument began over him installing cameras on house. Michael Green arrested for assault family violence.

Deputy Pollard, theft, CR 1684; caller witnessed someone taking insulation off person’s porch, suspect advised he had permission from homeowner to take insulation, deputy unable to contact homeowner, offense report completed until homeowner can verify suspect’s statement.

July 13

Cpl. Croney, Deputy Whisenhunt, violation of protection order, Private Road 7477; subject with active protection order at prohibited residence, suspect Joe Echols located, arrested for violation of protection order.

Cpl. Croney, follow up, CR 2445; homeowner for previous dog bite advised dog belonged to him, could not provide vaccination records, issued citation.

Deputy Rich, theft, CR 1660; male came to victim’s residence, stole items off trailer. 

July 14

Cpl. Croney, Deputy Pollard, counterfeit currency, FM 17; victim received cash from tenant with counterfeit bill; suspect advised she received bill from someone else, victim wished to pursue charges.

Cpl. Croney, Deputy George, disturbance, Private Road 6965; involved parties uncooperative with deputies, witness advised female initiated physical altercation, male contained her to prevent further contact, parties separated.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Burdick, Deputy George assisted Constable Bowser with family violence incident, suspect arrested for assault.

July 15

Deputy Nichols, criminal mischief; caller building house in Holly Lake Ranch, believes neighborhood kids went into building, caused minor damage, already fixed damage, did not wish to pursue charges.

Lt. Milbourn, lost/stolen wallet; victim’s wallet missing, has unauthorized charges on bank account, possible suspect given, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Mayer, assault after the fact, Quitman ER; victim at parent’s house when argument began with brother who smashed her hand with piece of pipe that caused laceration, offense report completed.

July 16

Sgt. Cox, burglary of vehicle, FM 515; someone broke into vehicle during night, stole electronic devices.

Sgt. Cox, theft, CR 1562; when caller returned home, noticed some medicine missing, park manager advised he would look at security cameras to try and locate suspect.

Cpl. Rapp, theft of service, Private Road 5918; water company employee advised meter to residence had been shut off but someone bypassed meter, lock put on new connection to prevent water being used.

Deputy Smith, theft, FM 2869; store employee stated customer stole products, deputies viewed security footage that showed suspect walking out of store with merchandise, deputy went to suspect’s residence who was believed to be home but would not come out, offense report completed.

Sgt. Mayer, agency assist, Quitman. Quitman PD advised vehicle with several males attempted to enter another vehicle that was occupied, victim did not wish to pursue charges, suspect’s vehicle not located.
