August 14

Cpl. Rich, abandoned vehicle, CR 4275;  male observed walking near vehicle, confirmed to be driver. Devin Humphries checked for warrants found to have parole violation warrant, placed in custody.

Sgt. Williams, disturbance, CR 4608; caller being held hostage by step son, deputies learned subjects arguing over money, agreed to separate for night.

Deputy Whisenhunt, suspicious vehicle, CR 2921; black vehicle drove up and down road multiple times slowly, deputies unable to locate vehicle.

August 15

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, assault, Private Road 8565; victim assaulted by grandson who ran away into nearby woods, deputies unable to locate subject, victim’s son came to residence with the grandson, advised he went to friend’s house, victim did not wish to pursue charges.

Sgt. Morrison, warrant service, Adult Probation. Colton Hawkins arrested for active warrant.

Sgt. Williams, alarm, Hwy. 154; front door to building open, deputies cleared building, did not observe anything missing, building owner who advised to call back if anything missing.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Holland, verbal disturbance; male subject who advised he had PTSD, needed help, subject provided with phone number to another veteran so he could speak to someone.

August 16

Deputy Skinner, theft, CR 3870; someone stole ATV from property, entered as stolen.

Cpl. Rapp, theft report, phone; family members stole deceased victim’s security camera from residence, possible suspect provided, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Skinner, warrant service, Private Road 7545. Brandt Shamburger arrested for active warrant.

Cpl. Rapp, theft, Hwy. 37; property owner advised neighbor was stealing electricity again, offense report completed.

August 17

Cpl. Rapp, criminal trespass, FM 778; property owner observed tire tracks, fishing pole, advised to put up security cameras.

Cpl. Rapp, animal complaint; dog supposed to be quarantined observed outside, caller unsuccessful getting picture of dog.

Deputy Williams, Deputy Smith, physical disturbance CR 2540; victim had visible injuries from physical altercation. Daniel Obermeier arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

August 18

Cpl. Rapp, animal bite, CR 4490; victim walking in road when dog bit him, same dog bit him previously, did not make report, deputy attempted to contact homeowner, no call back.

Deputy Williams, disturbance, Hawkins; ex-boyfriend broke into victim’s residence, recorded her while she was asleep, after short argument, victim returned to residence, suspect later left. Deputies unable to locate suspect, offense report completed.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Williams, Deputy Smith, burglary in progress, CR 2359; female banging on victim’s door attempting to get inside, deputies located male outside who advised he was there to pick up suspect, deputies located suspect hiding inside residence. Amanda Sullivan found to have active warrant, placed in custody.

August 19

Deputy Pollard, theft, Yantis; store employee advised female subject stole items from store multiple times, suspect’s vehicle information provided, employee requested criminal trespass next time subject shows up.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Croney, suicidal subject; grandparents advised subject had gotten in trouble, has become confrontational, made suicidal statements multiple times to deputies, transported to receive treatment.

Quitman ER requested transport for patient to behavioral unit for further treatment, deputy transported subject.

August 20

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Holland, welfare concern, FM 49; caller’s uncle in his grandmother’s yard asleep, made threatening comments prior to falling asleep, deputies located subject, learned he had active warrant out of pardons and paroles. Kenneth Ruelas arrested for active warrant, resisting arrest.

Cpl. Rich, Deputy Comeaux, abandoned vehicle in roadway, CR 2482; deputies ran vehicle to locate owner, unable to contact him, subject had active warrant, family advised he was not allowed at their residence.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Rich, Constable Bowser, suspicious male, Alba; male banging on door, advising people were coming after him. Deputies located subject walking down road, attempted to enter patrol vehicle, subject transported by EMS due to visible injuries, subject later admitting using narcotics recently.

Cpl. Rich, Deputy Holland, assault; caller’s mother had been drinking, wanted her removed from residence, deputies learned female assaulted son. Crystal Hobb arrested for assault.
