June 24
Deputy Williams and Deputy Tustin responded to a disturbance on FM 312. The caller advised he was assaulted by his daughter during an argument. Chloe Baxter was arrested for assault family violence.
Deputy Tustin made a pedestrian stop in Mineola after observing a male subject taking items from a donation box. Aaron Green was arrested on an active warrant.
June 25
Deputy Smith took a damage to property report by phone. The caller advised someone struck one of his vehicles while making a delivery. The driver fled the scene without providing insurance information. An offense report was completed.
Deputies responded to a welfare concern on Hwy. 69. The caller advised a male subject entered a vehicle without the owner’s consent and drove away. Deputies located the unattended vehicle nearby and later responded to another welfare check, where the subject was located. Michael Gass was arrested for public intoxication.
June 26
Deputy Hammond responded to a burglary on FM 312. The caller advised that upon returning home, he discovered his front door open and multiple items missing from the residence. An offense report was completed.
Deputy Swann and Deputy Whisenhunt responded to a suicidal subject. The caller advised that during an argument, her husband became upset, threatened to harm himself, and fired one round outside, alarming the caller and nearby neighbors. The subject was not injured and was transported for treatment.
Officer Atkinson responded to abandoned dogs on Hwy. 182. While on scene, Officer Atkinson was bitten by one of the dogs. The dogs were transported to the Sheriff’s Office.
June 27
Deputy Hammond took a burglary report by phone. The caller advised that after stopping at Dollar General on his way home from work, he discovered someone had broken into his truck toolbox and stolen multiple tools. A report was completed.
Deputy Whisenhunt took a burglary report by phone. The caller advised she observed someone breaking into her son’s truck the previous day. When confronted, the suspect fled without taking any items. A report will be completed following additional information from the victim.
June 28
Deputy Whisenhunt and Deputy Swann responded to suspicious persons in Hawkins. The caller advised he observed multiple subjects with narcotics and later became involved in a physical altercation with them. The subjects fled before deputies arrived.
Deputies responded to a located child in Holiday Village. The caller advised she found a child crying in the street. Deputies made contact with the child’s parents, who advised the child had gotten outside. The child was safely returned to the parents.
Sgt. Rich, Deputy Vanatta and Deputy Nichols performed a warrant service on FM 49. Clayton Pasteka was arrested on an active warrant.
June 29
Deputy Way took a request to speak by phone. The caller advised he had been staying with someone who assisted with setting up his Social Security payments. Before he was able to access the funds, someone withdrew the money from the account, and he was later evicted from the residence. The caller wished to pursue charges.
Deputy Williams and Deputy Haney responded to a missing person on County Road 3803. While deputies were en route, a neighbor advised the subject had been located with a four-wheeler overturned on him. The subject was transported by EMS for treatment.
June 30
Deputies responded to a squatters call on County Road 2245. The homeowner provided proof of ownership and requested the squatters be removed from the property. Deputies cleared the residence but did not locate anyone. Property left on scene was towed at the owner’s request.
Deputy Way took a theft report by phone. The caller advised someone stole her pontoon boat from the property. The caller provided a possible suspect, and the boat will be entered as stolen.
Deputy George took a request to speak in the lobby. After speaking with the subject, an offense report was completed for assault family violence.
Deputies responded to a terroristic threat on FM 49. The caller advised she received threatening text messages from her ex. A criminal trespass warning was issued to the suspect.
