Wright seeking second term as district clerk
Wood County District Clerk Suzy Wright has announced she will seek reelection, beginning in the March Republican primary.
Wright was appointed district clerk in 2022 to a one-year unexpired term, then earned election to a full term unopposed.
During that time the office has become a certified passport acceptance facility and provides passport service Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
“Over the years, I have had the privilege of working alongside an exceptional team of clerks, judges, attorneys and citizens who share a deep commitment to serving our community,” she said. “Together, we have made significant strides in improving efficiency, accuracy and accessibility within the district clerk’s office. My commitment has always been — and will continue to be — to provide honest, dependable, and transparent service to the people of Wood County.”
The office has diligently implemented legislative updates and stays current with ongoing legislative changes, Wright noted.
“Every document filed, every case processed and every juror summoned represents the trust our citizens place in this office,” she said. “That trust is something I value and protect each and every day. I am proud of the progress we’ve made and remain dedicated to ensuring that our office continues to operate with integrity, professionalism and respect for all who depend on our services.”
