After a sluggish 40-24 district opening loss to Edgewood, the Alba-Golden Lady Panthers got back on track Friday with a 58-50 win over Rains. Against Rains, the Lady Panthers fell behind 16-14 in the first quarter, but came back with an 18-12 second quarter to take a 32-28 lead at intermission. Alba-Golden’s relentless defense kept the Lady Cats just out of reach as the Lady Panthers took a 47-42 lead into the final eight minutes. The Lady Panthers subdued Rains in the final quarter and took the 58-50 win. more
